On April 20 in Brussels , TELT will outline what it needs for the last operational phase (rail and technological equipment) for the Mont Cenis base tunnel, which is an essential part of the Mediterranean corridor within the new European TEN-T network.
While civil engineering works continue on both sides of the Alps with 1,400 people working on 10 active sites, the public promoter of this major work is preparing to launch the last series of calls for tenders concerning its future management missions of infrastructure , for railway systems , safety and technological equipment in the tunnel.
This international event aims to present to companies with know-how on the technical, economic and legal context of the next calls for tenders with a provisional value estimated at 3 billion euros. A timetable and safeguards have been put in place to ensure respect for free competition and to identify the available opportunities that will arise in the months to come.
